6 Steps to a Stress-Free Retirement
Introductory Phone Call
We start with a brief introductory call to get to know each other and determine if you are a good fit for our services.
There is no pressure or obligation. If we aren’t right for you, we will gladly point you to a resource or firm that is better suited to your needs.
Our first meeting will help us to clearly define your unique retirement goals and concerns. This will also be an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have.
At the end of this meeting, we will ask you to take some time to think about whether you would like to begin working with us. We want you to make an informed decision and we encourage you to take whatever time is necessary to do so.
Retirement Plan Creation
If you decide you’d like to become a client, we’ll design a plan to help you achieve your retirement goals.
Plan Presentation Meeting
At our second meeting, we’ll review the retirement plan we created for you. After reviewing the initial plan, we often explore additional “what-if” scenarios that allow you to see the impact of altering your retirement date, investment allocation, or other key plan assumptions. We continue tweaking things based on your feedback until we arrive at a plan that is perfectly suited to your goals, concerns, and personality.
Once we’ve finalized your retirement plan, we’ll help you open the necessary investment accounts, transfer funds, and invest your money according to the plan.
For the majority of our clients, we are their advisor for the rest of their lives. We commit ourselves to serving them long after the plan and portfolio are in place, and we function as a reliable "constant" in an ever-changing world.
We constantly monitor your retirement plan and will meet with you to review your progress annually or semi-annually. We also reach out throughout the year to “check in” and provide helpful information about important deadlines or changes that might impact your retirement plans.
Did something change in your personal life that requires changing your financial plan? Let us know, and we’ll provide you with options and help you make the necessary adjustments. We are highly accessible, and we are only a phone call away.
Unexpected medical expense or loss of a job have you worried? A decline in your investment portfolio have you panicked and ready to sell? We are ready to be your calm, reassuring guide in times of financial or personal turmoil, advising you with compassion, and providing historical perspective.
